Full Private Region Sims

Aloha offers 2 kinds of simulators (called "sims" for short):  Regular (Full Performance), and Homestead (Lighter Use) sims.

REGULAR SIMS (also called full regions, or full performance sims) have 15000 prims and are 65,536m2 in size.  They are full featured, robust and can handle high traffic.

Full prim sims can handle up to 60 avatars simultaneously without serious performance issues.

Entire full prim sims may be purchased from Linden Labs directly for $1000usd + 295usd per month and you will need a premium account.  Many people prefer to purchase them from inworld companies like ALOHA due to lower or no up front costs, and convenient payment plans that are available.

HOMESTEAD SIMS have 3750 prims and are 65,536m2 in size.  They are a "lighter" version of a full prim sim and are very popular for those wanting complete privacy or freedom, but cannot afford a full prim sim.  They are perfect for residential or very light commercial (photo studio, office etc.) use.  They do not handle high traffic or scripts well.

Homestead regions are limited to 20 simultaneous avatars on the sim.

Homestead sims can be purchased directly from Linden Labs only if you already own a regular sim and cost $375usd to purchase with $95usd per month tiers.

For those of you who do not already own a regular sim, a Homestead sim may be purchased from an inworld company like ALOHA offering no or low up front cost offered through various payment plans.

NOTE:   There is a 3rd type of sim called an Openspace sim.   Linden Labs dictates that OPENSPACE SIMS may not be occupied by inhabitants.  They are very light use sims only to be operated as designated park lands, ocean or other low impact, non inhabited use.  They only have 750 prims and limited resources.
